Updates and refund policies for coronavírus (COVID-19)

The COVID-19 outbreak has now officially been labelled a global pandemic and this has had a significant impact on world travel as a whole. Due to the fluidity of this situation transport operators are now releasing new information around cancellations and refunds caused by COVID-19. To keep our users up to date we have put together the below table showcasing each operator we sell tickets on behalf of and what their current policies are for cancellations and refunds caused by COVID-19. 


It's also important to note that as our customer support team is dealing with an unprecedented amount of inquiries we recommend that you only contact us if your booking is less than one week away from departure. This will allow our support team to effectively manage these time-sensitive cases. We appreciate your understanding during this time.

Renfe are currently cancelling trains across Spain. We are still waiting to hear back on how the refund process is going to work however once this information is released we will contact all travellers advising them of their options.

As of the 17th March all Off-peak, Anytime and Advance can now be refunded fully with no penalty. Please only contact the Rome2rio customer support team if you are travelling within the next week to request your refund.

National Express

Throughout the UK

National Express will consider refund requests on a case by case basis for customers whose flights to the UK have been cancelled from Italy, China, US or India. Customers should email enquiry@nationalexpress.com with a copy of their ticket, proof of flight cancellation and a brief explanation of why they’re seeking a refund.
