How to search and book with Rome2rio

Rome2rio makes travel planning easy. We are a door-to-door travel information and booking engine, helping you get to any location in the world. We have estimated prices, journey durations and booking details from over 5,000 companies in more than 160 countries – making us one of the top online travel resources used globally.

Transport Search

To begin your transport search using our website or app, enter your origin and destination before clicking ‘Search’ or ‘Find Transport’. You can use any address, landmark, hotel, city, region or country. For the best results, we recommend being as specific as possible.

The key to finding additional transport information is to click on the interactive menu. This is where you will find relevant information for your trip, such as specific methods of transport, journey times, price estimates, operator details and booking websites.

Adding Multiple Stops

To create an itinerary with multiple stops simply conduct a transport search via our desktop website and then click the + symbol to add additional destinations.

To change the order of your itinerary, simply click and drag a destination until it is in the correct order.

Saving and Sharing Your Trip

If you are spending valuable time creating your ideal Rome2rio itinerary, you can save it for future use or share it with your friends and family. Click on “Save trip” on the top-right corner and you will be prompted to create an account or sign-in to an existing account.

To view a saved trip, login to your account and click on the star icon.

To share your trip with your friends and family, click on “Share” on the top menu and choose from Facebook, Twitter or email.

These features are currently only available on the Rome2rio website but we do have plans to have these features included within our app.

How to book tickets

Rome2rio offers a number of bookable operators which can be found through our transport search. If you see a ticketable green icon appear on your search results via the interactive menu this means that we are currently offering tickets through one of our partners for this route. To make a booking simply click on that option and then enter in your dates and hit “find tickets”. You will then be able to finalise your booking through one of our partners which we will transfer you to.

What happens if we don’t offer tickets?

If we don’t provide ticketing options for your selected route we’ll do our best to list the contact information for that operator so you can book directly through them. The operator contact information can be found by clicking on your preferred transport type via the interactive menu and scrolling down past the listed schedules until you reach the “Operator Details” section.
